Japan's Role In The Asian Economic Crisis

Number of pages: 19

ABSTRACT:
19 pages in length. The Asian economic crisis has created quite a ripple effect upon the rest of the world's economic status. Having been caused by a number of occurrences, the crisis has created a great deal of financial hardship for the primary Southeast Asian countries involved: Japan, Korea, Thailand and Malaysia. Determining their pattern of individual economic development has led to a better understanding of how such a catastrophic situation could escalate to its current status. However, the Japanese keiretsu system has been accused of having had at least a partial involvement with regard to the instigation of the economic crisis, placing them in a precarious position. The writer discusses the components of the Asian economic crisis, as well as demonstrates how the keiretsu system has contributed to the problem. Bibliography lists 12 sources.
